As an addition to our camper import agent service, we are able to track and source very highly modified vehicles to your specification.

The charge for this service is less, they are easier for us to source and you will be taking on more risk by purchasing a highly modified vehicle. We will try our best to give the vehicle a once over and advise on any potential problems but at the end of the day, you will be getting a performance bargain that may need a little bit of TLC. The introductory special agent import rate for this service is currently set at the ridiculously low price of £150.

Some of these cars will be pushing 400, 500 even 600+ brake horsepower, they are highly tuned, highly strung, and the running and maintenance costs may be high! Some may have been thrashed, some may have been used only for show cars, whatever happens, driving these sort of vehicles is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Supercamper recently brought over a TD06 turbo Skyline GTS with 400hp + It was frighteningly quick and superb fun, and it never missed a beat with reliability.

Bear in mind a lot of the highly modified cars have had shunts, been repaired, had dents, drift scars or even been on a jig at some point! Only buy this sort of car if you are fine about it having patchy history... some may not, you may be lucky. Sometimes the repairs are excellent, others are questionable in regards to their their quality. Be prepared to spend a bit of money on this sort of car, but if you are handy with a spanner or buying as a track day car, this is perfect for you.

A lot of the high performance vehicles are grade R (modified/repaired) or grade R1 (highly modified/ repaired).

Some of the most common very highly modified vehicles are as follows:

Nissan Skyline (GTS and GTR)

GTR’s can be expensive, are sought after, GTS can be the performance bargain, although they are vary lairy in the wet or cold (2WD) A lot of GTR’s are modified with the TD06 turbo by Greddy, this turbo will push around 500 in GTS and 600 in a GTR. Even T88’s are seen, they should be well over 600bhp in total, absolute monsters. GTS models often setup for drifting, locked differentials cause the car to “clunk” going round steep bends (as both powered wheels turn at the same rate), and they are lethal in the wet! Drive with caution! Usually depressing the clutch disengages the locked diff.

Toyota Supra Twin Turbo

Manual’s and 6 speeds are sought after and can be expensive, autos are ten a penny and a lot cheaper, both are often highly modified, usually a mildly modded one will be around 450hp and a single turbo upgraded model will be anything from 500bhp to over 1000bhp!! These are some seriously quick machines, capable of beating most supercars and even top motorcycles.

Mazda RX7 FD3S

The Mazda RX7’s are rather common in Japan and often modified to large single turbo, T51 Kai turbo being a common upgrade that sees around 450+hp. Considering these vehicles are so light at 1350kg and very nimble around the twisties, these can be an awesome track weapon. They are also arguably the most nice looking of ALL the Japanese sports cars – absolutely gorgeous! Be prepared for high running costs, fuel consumption, oil consumption and repair bills, the wankel / rotary engine is noted for wear on the rotor tips, and rebuilding of engines is advised every sixty thousand miles ,which isn’t cheap at around 2k, but it’s cheaper than rebuilding most other types of engine.
